Access to water through boreholes, executed by Aqua Foraj Plus

The project "Access to water through drilling, performed by Aqua Foraj Plus" was initiated to improve the drinking water infrastructure in several localities in Romania. The beneficiaries of this project are the city halls and the zonal or communal water companies, who collaborated to ensure constant access to quality water resources for their residents.

Purpose of the Project

The main purpose of the project was to drill boreholes by Aqua Foraj Plus to capture groundwater and install modern pipeline systems for the distribution of water produced by Valrom Industrie. The boreholes were drilled in strategic locations to cover local needs and ensure efficient distribution of drinking water.

Description of the Works

The project took place in the period 2021-2023 and included several essential stages for drilling and installing the necessary equipment. The works were carried out in the following localities:

FLOORS

  • Drilling: 6 boreholes made, of which 3 boreholes at a depth of 150 meters and 3 boreholes at a depth of 20 meters, with a diameter of 200 R16.

CHIAJNA

  • Drilling: 2 boreholes at a depth of 90 meters, with a diameter of 180 R16.

COSMESTI VALE (TECUCI)

  • Drilling: 2 boreholes at a depth of 120 meters, with a diameter of 225 R16.

BERESTI GALATI

  • Drilling: 3 boreholes completed, of which 2 boreholes at a depth of 140 meters and 1 borehole at a depth of 145 meters, with a diameter of 225 R16.

  • Drilling: 2 boreholes at a depth of 90 meters, with a diameter of 200 R10.

TANDERS

  • Drilling: 5 boreholes at a depth of 90 meters, with a diameter of 225 R16.

CALLUGARESCA VALLEY

  • Drilling: 1 borehole at a depth of 120 meters, with a diameter of 200 R16.

  • Drilling: 1 borehole at a depth of 170 meters, with a diameter of 200 R16.

Technology Used

Within the project, modern products and systems made in Romania by Valrom Industrie were used, to ensure the quality and durability of the works carried out. These include:

  • PVC pipe for well drilling, SpringKIT: Used to capture groundwater and ensure an efficient and durable pipeline.
  • Electrofusion fittings PN 16: Plugs were used to join the PVC pipes, with an electrofusion welding machine.
  • StockKIT Storage Tanks: Used for the water-bentonite mixture.
  • HDPE water pipe PN 10, PN 16: HDPE pipes have been used for water distribution networks due to their durability and strength.
  • Compression fittings D90 and 110 mm: Used to connect and seal the tubing, ensuring a perfect seal.

Impact of the Project

The "Foraje - Aqua Foraj Plus" project had a significant impact on local communities, ensuring access to drinking water and contributing to the improvement of water infrastructure. By using modern technologies and quality materials, the durability and efficiency of the installed systems was ensured.

Conclusion
