The present work is a representative one for the company Valrom Industrie, being the first work with PE (polyethylene) pipes and fittings with a diameter greater than 630mm that it sold.

A pedestrian walkway was formed under which an access path was created from DN2A, to Carrefour Constanța as well as to the other shops in the area, and the pipes were insulated and covered with treated tin and UV resistance.

In the original design, steel pipes were included, but due to the very high costs, the builder could no longer fit into the bid price. Valrom Industrie came up with the proposal and solution to replace the steel pipes with PE pipes and fittings, which significantly contributed to reducing the total costs of the project, thus falling within the bid cost.

The beneficiaries were quite reluctant due to the fact that they had not used PE pipes larger than 630mm in diameter and because they did not believe that the fittings would fit or that they would last.

Valrom came up with the fitting model, welding and anchoring know-how (there were some pretty tricky angle combinations).

The work experience and skilled hand of the welder at the time, nee Romica, made their mark on the completion of the project and everything turned out as expected without any problems. Route deviations and bends were encased in concrete to avoid possible damage created by high pressure or not to be affected by the effect of "ramming".

The connection between the old concrete pipes and the PE pipes was made with some special imported couplings.

Thanks to the courage and ingenuity of the Valrom team, the project ended successfully! The builder was within the bid price, the designer and the beneficiary RAJA Constanța were satisfied with the result, and Valrom once again stood out for the quality of the materials, the skill of the people and the job well done!
