Setting up an irrigation system on an area of ​​900 HA, fed from the Timiș River

The work involved the construction of a buffer lake with an area of ​​6,7 hectares and a storage capacity of 200.000 cubic meters of water. The main pipeline, with the role of transporting water from the Timiș River, into the buffer lake, has a diameter of 710mm and a length of 2,3km.

The lake is supplied with water at a nominal flow rate of 700 liters per second. The 900 hectares are irrigated using drums and pivots, the distribution network having a nominal flow rate of over 300 liters per second.

Valrom Industrie did not only offer the products used to make the investment, but also consultancy and technical support throughout the duration of the project.

The investment is a private one and is within the radius of Hitias commune in Timiș County.
