Development of irrigation system on an area of 900 HA, with supply from the Timiș river
The work involved the construction of a buffer lake with an area of 6.7 hectares and a storage capacity of 200,000 cubic meters of water. The main pipeline, which transports water from the Timiș river into the buffer lake, has a diameter of 710mm and a length of 2.3km.
Water is supplied to the lake at a nominal flow rate of 700 liters per second. Irrigation of the 900 hectares is via drums and pivots, with the distribution network having a nominal flow rate of over 300 liters per second.
Valrom Industrie not only provided the products used for the realization of the investment, but also consultancy and technical support throughout the project.
The investment is a private one and is located in the commune of Hitias in Timis County.
